Alhamdulillah. Thanks to Allah, with His will, I, Asad Abbas (BS-TN-3943), student of PAF-KIET, have successfully completed this Final Year Project which is titled as “Online Print Shop (AAS Printers)”.

Firstly, I would like to express my deepest thanks to Mr. Muneeb-ur-Rehman, my supervisor who guided me throughout the semester. I also want to thank our Department’s Director Mr. Khalid Khan, without his support and help this project wouldn’t have completed. It is due to his cooperation and the valuable information, suggestions and guidance that motivated me and resulted in the compilation and completion of this final year project.

Abstract:

AAS Printer’s QuickSign (Online Print Store) is a web-based application that helps users create and design various kinds of products (print related) according to their desire and achieve them in any printing style. All of the products can be found on the website presented on the catalogue section. The user can either select their design from the free temples or upload a custom design of its own.

Introduction:

An online print store is nothing more than just a web based application allowing users to get their printing desires completed comprehensively online. This saves time as well as manpower.

All of the products can be found on the website’s catalogue section. The user can either select their design from the free temples or upload a custom design of its own. Orders are added to the online cart and payments are performed electronically or cash on delivery.

All the images along with the user’s information are stored in the database. Each user has a unique ID which helps him to view his print and payment history along with the designs against that transaction so that the same design could be used for future print jobs.

The Product:

Client’s communication cards are the general description of this online print store. Cards for instance, an automobile dealer handed to one of his client who showed some interest in one of his cars. At QuickSign, different logos are available for the user to choose from along with pictures to enhance the beauty and details of the card.

Process-1: User Registration

In the user registration process we have two different kinds of users.

Process-2: Selection of Print

Upon selection of any category (e.g. Poster) the user will be able to see general options for printing.

· Urgent (Next Business Day) or Standard 3 Business Days
(Extra charges will be implemented for express service)

· User Design Upload or Selection from the Free Templates.

Process-3: Add to Cart

The user can finalize his/her order after reviewing/editing it. The details of user’s final order will be shown for confirmation before checkout.

· Checkout or Continue Shopping

Process-4: Payment

Payments are made through PayPal. Address are confirmed and then shipped to the specific address.

Screenshots:

· The user can download free Samples of every category listed in the products pane. The user can download the file and edit on its own before uploading the design.

· The user is asked to upload the design file for the product. Click on add files and browse for the design file for the product.

· The user is then asked to fill in required criteria/options for the product to be printed. Click ‘Continue’ at the end of the screen to add the order in the Cart.
