Enterprise Resource Planning:

ERP is short form to enterprises resources Planning ,is basically software, that helps us to manipulates our data, throughout the organization without needing any further interference.
Its purpose is to facilitate the flow of information between all business functions inside the limit of the organization and manage the connection outside stakeholder.

Integration with Sales and Distribution, Purchasing and Materials Management allows for the ability to select any financial transaction and "Drill Down" to the originating transaction whether it is a purchase Order, Sales Order or material movement.

No problems we faced with earlier system of recording transactions and access. We are just switched to improve our services.

  1. What kind of planning was done before implementation?
Before implementing ERP, you are going to put a great deal of pre-purchase effort into deciding what kind of ERP software system will be the best fit for your organization. Developing an ERP strategy is an important first step that will help you move forward with the rest of the planning. You also want to know what kind of impact implementing ERP will have on the people in your organization.
  1. How you select the ERP and related Modules?
           
               As per requirements.

  1. How many modules are implemented and why?

 We are using four modules in our Organization. Which are as follow?

                                I.      Finance module
                              II.      HR modules
                   III.    Project modules
                  IV.    Marketing modules

We implemented four Modules. Finance Module to capture organizations business transactions and HR Module to complete the Hire to retire process and Project Module to complete the Plan to produce process and Marketing modules helps organization out, to solve their issues concerning market and marketing department, also makes the strategies for the company in marketing.

  1. How you evaluate the implementation methodology (success and problems)?
Interfaces are huge problem, Determine where master data resides, Expensive, very complex, demands highly trained staff, lengthy implementation time.
It integrates all aspects of a business. It promises one database, one application, and a unified interface across the entire enterprise. An entire company under one application roof means everything from human resources, accounting, sales, manufacturing, distribution, and supply-chain management are tightly integrated. This integration benefits companies in many ways: quick reaction to competitive pressures and market opportunities, more flexible product configurations, reduced inventory, and tightened supply chain links.

  1. How long will it take to implement the ERP?

This process can take from anywhere between six months to a couple of years to finish. A lot of coordination between various members is required during the ERP implementation. If there is no coordination between the core team members, customer and managers then project will get delayed.


  1. Financial, Operational, customer satisfaction and other indicators before and after implementation?


  1. What is the cost of maintaining and implementing ERP?

  1. Did you achieve the outcomes you expected?


  1. What was and what is your employee ratio before and after implementation of this process?

Little bit improve the ratio after implementation of this process of ERP.

  1. What was the IT infrastructure before ERP implementation? Did you need to bring major changes in IT infrastructure for the ERP implementation?

  1. What do managers need to know about organization in order to build and use ERP successfully?


  1. How can business use ERP for competitive advantage?
 Competitive advantage depends on competition, if it is very sophisticated; you may gain some ground but perhaps not an advantage. Sometimes you simply need to be able to level the playing field a bit. If your competition is on the same level as yourself, or weaker, then you should be able to gain an advantage. At least until they go through the same process.

  1. Why is it so difficult to implement ERP?

ERP implementations is very difficult, several firms fail due to lack of proper implementation. There are so many challenges, during the installation process of ERP system in organizations. They are different critical issues that must be consider for the successful implementation of the ERP which include commitment from top management, reengineering or existing process, integration of the ERP with other business information system, selection of ERP consultants, implementation time, implementation costs, ERP Vendors, selecting the right employees, Training of the employees and Morale of the selecting employees. Several organizations do not understand the direct cost that associate to ERP system, when they firstly initiate to implement the system. The ERP benefits are so clear, they are totally understandable but the costs of implementation not clear before the implementation. Before implementation vendor try to aware about the cost and difficulties when they try to implement and sale to the organization.
