Documents Required for Imports Delivery Order


Documents to be produced by the Consignee for Release of Delivery Order

  • Original Bill of Lading duly signed by the authorized signatory at the load port 
  • A Copy of duly paid Bill of Entry
  • In case of Factory De-Stuffing:
  • Format to be drafted on consignee letterhead duly signed by cnee (signature duly verified by bank) along with CHA stamp and sign.
  •  
  • In case of Reefer containers Format to be drafted on Non Judicial Stamp paper of Rs 100 duly signed by cnee (sign must be verified by bank) and CHA stamp and signature, along with security cheque and Insurance copy
  •  
  • In case of PERSONAL EFFECT CARGO, the following documents shall be produced in addition to the above:

  • Original Passport and Copy of Passport


       

Documents Required for Release of Bill of Lading


Documents to be produced by the Shipper for Release of Bill of Lading

  • Proforma B/L containing B/L Instuctions given by the Shipper in a format prescribed by MSC
  • Copy of Shipping Bill
  • Invoice & Packing list in case of African In-land destinations
  • Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD) in case of Canada, Mexico, USA and South American ports
  • Measurement Certificate in case CBM is to be mentioned on the B/L
  • Copy of Hazardous Declaration Form in case of hazardous cargo (To be collected from our office at the time of booking)
  • Non-Hazardous Declaration from the Shipper for non-hazardous chemical commodity.
  • Customs approved Certificate in case of Short-Shipment of packages.


                         

Check List for Releasing B/L


Booking slip

The booking slip must contain the following information:

  • Name of the Shipper
  • Port of Loading
  • Port of Discharge
  • Number of containers
  • Type & Size of Containers
  • Cargo Description
  • Mode and Place of Stuffing
  • Fax no. where the D/O is to be faxed


In case of Hazardous cargo, the booking slip must contain the following:

  • Correct technical name of the Cargo / Commodity
  • UN Number
  • Class
  • IMDG Page Number
  • Flash Point

Proforma B/L:

The shipper must mention the B/L Instructions on Proforma B/L as per MSC B/L format. In case of more than one container, container-wise break up of Gross Wt., Net Wt. and no. of packages should be mentioned CNJ No. must be mentioned in case of Brazilian ports.

CRI / IDF No. must be mentioned as per port requirement.

H.S. Code No. must be mentioned on the Proforma B/L for USA, West Coast South American ports, Canada, Mexico & Rotterdam and for Pharmaceutical Commodities.

Telex Release Message: The Shipper must surrender full set of original B/Ls along with a request letter.
